Lamp Out Warning Light

I have checked all lights and they work ok. Have checked fuses and moved then in the sockets to improve contact. When I start the car the light comes on with the other warning lights as they should, and then goes out, as it should. As soon as I shift out of PARK, the light comes on and stays on.


Hopefully, someone has the fix for this !!!! 1995 E420

Try your upper brake light - I'm thinking that there are 2 bulbs there - and one out will show the light. In any case, I'd suspect brake light, as it doesn't go on until you shift into gear.

Thanks, Bill. Upper brake blub ok. (Only one blub ) This is embarrassing -- one of the brake light blubs is bad.

Please put in a good word for me! Hopefully I won't be drummed out of the site for such silly mistake. lol
