280 SE 4.5 out of storage Butler Pa

I just got back from Germany on leave. My 1973 280 SE 4.5 has been sitting for about 32 months and I am happy to say I stored it without having problems. I had to buy a new battery. The fuel was ok. I had a full tank and put stablizer in it and all new fluids before I put it away. I cranked it over without the coil wire to get oil pressure before I started it. The only thing I had to do was tighten some fuel hoses on the fuel rail. The car is running flawlessly like it was before storage. If anyone is in Butler Pa and knows of any events before Aug 5th let me know. I'd like to go to them.

I just finished putting the car back in storage. I put nearly 600 miles on it in less than 2 weeks. I got about 13 mpg out of each tank of gas and lots of fun. The AC was still Ice cold. I'll be back in Germany in a few days driving the autobahn in my 300 TE. I'll miss the power of the 4.5 for another year and a half untill I retire.
