Where are good places to look for a car for sale?
I am located in California, thanks for your help.

Being in CA is already a big advantage. Most of the nice cars are here. Go for a 1970, as it has the later style front end and tail lights. Like a 3.5 . You might even consider a 70-71 3.5 coupe. Classic looks, and a bit better performance. More comments late when I'm not so tired. You will probably not find the car of your dreams on ebay. What's your budget ??
Hello,
These are great cars. Unbelievable quality and hand crafted with lots of wood , leather and miles of chrome. The body styling is very special. They are usually great bargains because they do not have a convertible top. My advice is buy the best condition you can afford, they are very expensive to restore. The old king pin type front suspension can be a little costly to rebuild on this model.
The V-8 (280-SE 4.5) coupe will be the most valuable, most drivable and hardest to find. The (300-SE) coupe will be the most expensive to maintain (air suspension and M189 engine). The six cylinder 280-SE will be easier to locate and is also a fine automobile.
There are usually some nice examples advertised in " The Star".
Hemmings is another possible source.
I would like to add one of these to my stable some day!

AutoTrader (traderonline.com) and cars.com are two other places to look. The V8 coupe is a 3.5, 4.5 didn't come until 72 sedan. You're lucky to be in CA - it's tough to buy long distance - I did it once and it was a disaster. About nine out of ten people overstate the condition of their car and pictures can mask a lot of problems. I would agree, get the best car you can, and be very suspicious of even the slightest rust, the problem is often far worse than you can see.
