Hi all,

I have a '95 E320 cabriolet.

I have been using Lexol for the leather and Armorall for the vinyl - results appear good.

Is this a combination that I should continue with, or can you recommend better products?

Best,

John Mott

vinylex for the vinyl (made by lexol people). Armor-all has a tendency to destroy some vinyls. On some it's fine, but it's not a chance i like to take.

I agree that Armorall should be avoided. Some say that the low gloss variety is OK, but I don't know --- I just avoid it all. I like 303 because it has UV protection of SP40, and is specifically for use on both vinyl and leather. I believe Meguair's also has products with UV protection. I would recomend such products.

Thanks,
Richard

Ever since Megiuar's wheel clean stripped the paint right off my wheels (and bleached my driveway) I stay away from them like the plague.

Well, for what it is worth, the reason I use 303 on vinyl, rubber, and even leather is that it has UV protection of SP40, and no silicones. There may well be other products that meet these criteria, and, if so, they'd be fine too.

Thanks,
Richard
